  1. The clutch is worn or out of adjustment. This is a fairly rare and very collectible Honda. There weren't many of these as Honda went right on to the 400 four. If it is in overall good condition it is worth fooling with. Where to get parts is any ones guess.

  2. roll on the throttle SLOWLY as youre letting out the clutch

  3. red line is at 10500.....  so it wont matter... your going to blow it up...

  4. this bike needs carb work. The honda "4's" were real smooth. But they need an idle circut clean and good intermediate air bleed tubes to work properly. The carb kits are real expensive, and the job requires extensive knowledge of multi carb opperation. Or you can continue to wind the expensive collector bike up to 13000 rpm and the problem will fix it's self.

  5. if it jumps and stalls when you pull the clutch lever in and put it in  gear, then the clutch may not be disengaging.  With the engine off, put it ingear and pull the clutch in and try to push it. If the wheel skids, then the clutch is not disengaging. This could be due to incorrect adjustment or a faulty clutch. Ensure your clutch is correctly adjusted. If the bike has not been used for awhile the clutch plates candstick together. If this is the case, simply disassembling the clutch (remove each plate) and reassembling it will fix it. It uses 3 balls and a ramp to disengage the clutch and it is really easy to mess up the adjustment. So make sure all the disengagement parts are correctly assemble.

  6. On bikes it's OK to ride the clutch more than you would in a car: try to keep revs around 3000-3500 rpm for takeoff: not much power at these revs but not likely to stall either.
