How can i post a letter?

Hi,

Where can i get a stamp to post a letter within the same state (Texas)? Do i just stick the stamp on the letter and drop it off in the outgoing mailbox in my apartment? or do i have to go to the post office to drop it off?

Many grocery and convenience stores sell stamps, as does the post office.  Address the envelope like this, putting their information in the center of the envelope:

Name of person

123 Any street, Apt. #A

Thier town, TX  Zip Code

Put your name and address in the upper left corner.  The stamp goes in the upper right corner.  Put the sealed envelope in your apartment's outgoing mail box, any US Post Office Mail Box, or take it to the post office.  It's best not to put it in your own mailbox, as it can easily be stolen before the carrier picks it up.  You can also give it to a carrier, if you see one.

You can purchase postage stamps from discount stores, drug stores or even grocery stores, either singly or in a book of 20.  Yes, you can mail it either in the outgoing mailbox or the post office.  I'm curious as to why you are asking this question.  Are you not from the United States?
