How can i "reinvent" myself?

i've recently become more inspired by the 60's, hippie-ish style and i want to incorporate more of that into my clothes. how can i reinvent myself and add more "airy" things to my wardrobe?

examples of what to get, and outfit examples would be great.

because i don't want to be that stereotype of all tye-dye and stuff.

keep it modern. only use one or two pieces at a time. ex: ripped jeans & tye-dye scarf

flowy tops with wide jeans are definately hippie-ish but to make it seem less.. airy-ish and to give the outfit some balance, add a modern style menswear inspired vest.

get some tops in bright colors and go for unusual color combos, like fuscia and lime or turquoise and red or something.

just think loose, free style.
