On main yahoo page there is a search box @ top middle. Actually isnt this same box @ top of all yahoo pages

go to yahoo homepage and type in something you want to search for.

This will bring you to a list of sites related to what you are looking for and you go from there.

I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you are asking how to use yahoo search engine:

go to www.yahoo.com

type in the search  box whatever it is you want to search for hit enter and voila!
