Cockatiels live to approximately 50 yrs. The average I believe is 25. You cannot tell their age visually. The only way to really tell physically is for a avian vet to use a scope inserted to look at the s*x organs to tell maturity. If they also have band on their foot, most breeders will put the year of hatch on it. I use to breed birds so I know this 1st hand.
