  1. when I'm really mad or sad at my parents i normally talk to myself because i sometimes feel like they don't care what i have to say. Also if i said some of the stuff i say to myself, i would most likely get in big trouble!

  2. Many reasons, sometimes people do it to reassure themselves, sometimes they're just "thinking out loud". Some people use mantras or affirmations to reinforce a behavior or mindset. Schizophrenics and people with Dissociative Identity Disorder also do it, but those are pretty rare psychological disorders.

  3. because no one else will listen

  4. you have two ways of learning, audibly and visually. They operate separately and differently. The best way to learn was discovered by early jews, and passed along to their offspring with the instructions "read it in an undertone." That way, both means of learning are employed. have you ever been reading a  book, not understood a passage, them reread it out loud and it made sense. The same thing happens when you talk to yourself. You are thinking something, your mind knows to say it out loud as a means of proofreading it.

  5. So I can keep myself aware of what is going on with me!

  6. Because I understand me the best?

  7. cuz u crazy women

  8. A lot of people do this.  I do it when I am trying to remember things, I also do it when I re-read things I have written.  The reason I re-read out loud is because it causes you to pick up problems that your brain fixes automatically when you just read it in your head.  As for the other reasons - I recently read a study that said it is reassuring to hear our own voices, soothing if you will.  Which would explain why you would talk to yourself when you are nervous.
