How did this guy die?

Its a long time since I watched 'Creep', and suddenly I have nightmares about a sequil in which me and Robert Carlyle are in :S

Well anyway how did the guy who could see all the CCTV images die?

His throat was graphically slashed with a knife from behind by Craig (aka Creep).

basically they were walking together and then she lost him and then creep was behind him and slashed him and then she realised and started making a run for it
