How did you get your agent?

Question

Were you discovered? Did you go looking for one? How much experience did you have when you got one? Just curious :-). Thank you!

I had applied to her a few times, but always got the "we have enough of your type and experience" letter.  

Then I was doing a show, and a local casting director was in the audience.  She called my (not yet) agent and asked if she represented me.  When the answer was no, she said "Why not?"
