  1. we ain't got no kangaroos up here lol

  2. Well, I'm a Canadian and my bf is an Australian.

In what sense do you mean?  of course climate is very different, but it also depends on where in Canada we are talking about.... Vancouver is very different than Quebec etc...

  3. "ss98" is right not only the climate, we have 4 seasons here, there they have 2 and opposite to ours, land mass wise we are 8x the size of Australia.

The ethnic issues are not as prevelent there but over the year the ethnic population of Australia has diversified, so there are alot of the more recognizable ones there, Cost of living is  similar and because there a colonial English and commenwealth brother, laws and ethic's are on the same line. I worked with several Australian chef in my 20+ years in the Hotel business and found them to be level headed and very hospitable people, and the country is very similar topically and geographically to Canada.

  4. Australia is to Surf as Canada is to Ski

Australia is to South as Canada is to North

Australia is to Koala as Canada is to Beaver

Australia is to Shark as Canada is to Grizzly Bears

Australia is to G'Day as Canada is to Eh

Australia is to Aborigine as Canada is to Mohawk

  5. Well it's way colder different money, animals, acents,

  6. Colder

  7. canada is cold and hockey is huge here

and australia is Hot and they like tennis

  8. The countries are similar in many ways, though.

Large land masses with tiny populations, predominantly anglo history with heavy immigration and a legacy of abuse of indigenous people.  Vast regions of the country that are completely inaccessible wilderness.  Similar ideologies and outlooks and lifestyles.
