How different is Kiteboarding to Wakeboarding?

Ok my instructor said that before i start kiteboarding i should wakeboard to see how it is to be pulled on a board. i did that today. when kiteboarding do i also have to put as much pressure on my back leg to...not faceplant?

are there any other difference between the movements in kite and wakeboarding?

  1. Well, in Wakeboarding there's no kite, but, I've never Kiteboarded before. Wakeboarding is totally awesome!! I'm not real sure about the last 2 questions


  2. Well of course you know the obvious difference. Your intructor was very smart to make you do this. Yes you do have to put as mcuh pressure on your back leg, that is for not only balance but height! Kiteboarding you are in way more control than wakeboarding.....its up to you where you go and what you do and in wakeboarding you rely on the boat.
