I'm 17 years old, Home schooled. I want to become a nurse. I have a GPA of 3.78. This year I will be done with school and can't find any information on how to become a nurse. What steps do I need to take? And I want to take just nursing, Example: In London you can take classes just what you want. Just nursing no math no other classes. How do I find a school that will have that? Help!!

  1. Go to any local college to apply. And they will tell you what you need to do to apply. You may have to take English, Math and AP classes. But it is worth it

  2. My daughter had no way to support herself and go to school, so here is what she is doing and it seems to be a good planand working.

First she joined the search and rescue team , then that took her to EM certification for free and then she could be a volunteer ambulance driver. With that she was sent to school ( for free ) to become a CNA. This gave her the first hospital job and now making a decent living and will start her nurses training to get her RN. It is a long haul but can be done. Hope this helps with some ideas for you. She had only a GED to start with but with perseverance and hard work it can be done. Good luck.

  3. It probably depends on your country. Here you can take a Bachelors of Nursing Degree in College or a University Degree in Nursing. There are also Practical Nurses, Nurse Practitioners (requires University) or Midwifery. With even less school you can become a doula.
