How do I eject the tape?

Question

I wanted to tape my little sister's dance recital tomorrow, but I don't know how to eject the tape from Christmas. I tried looking online but couldn't find it. It's a Canon Digital Video Camcorder ZR500. How do I eject the old tape? I know I press that Open/Eject button to open so I see the tape, but how do I get the tape to actually POP OUT?

u can prob find the manual on the canon website

but

after u pres the eject button, try pulling the thing the rest of the way, n if the tape doesn come out automatically, try pulling gently, the compartment should pop out after the it opens

My canon dv camera does it auto, you manually open the case all the way (make sure it's open all the way) and the tape automatically come up and pops out and you take it out the rest of the way with your fingers. Refer to your manual.
