  1. The answer would be 32.

    A good trick to remembering this is to take both the minus signs and make a plus in your head. then you just add the 2 to get the answer.

    Good Luck!

    *best answer please!*

  2. oh god..so wrong the first time  7-(-25).  distribute the negative sign in front of the parenthesis.  7+25=32

  3. 7-(-25)

    You can't subtract a negative number, so the two negative signs cancel out and create a positive.

    7+25=32

  4. 7 - (-25) = ?

    a negative and a negative is a positive

    which would make that 7 + 25

    7 + 25 = 32

  5. 7-(-25)

    7+25=32

  6. it's going to be 7-(-25)  which equals 32 because the 2 negatives become positives.

  7. Don't worry, I'm always confused by negatives too! Remember, two minus signs become 1 plus sign:

    7--25  -->  7+25

    1--9    --> 1+9

    23--5  --> 23+5

  8. It's a double negative, so you do seven plus twenty five.

  9. 7 - ( - 25)

    the    - ( -   makes  a   +

    see it?

    the only way i can really explain it, is that the negatives cancle eachother....

  10. 7 - -25 =32

    my math teacher tought me a trick, whenever you see two negative signs like in this problem you change them both into plus signs.

    another example:

    6 - -10 = 16

  11. Use a number line ~ the answer is -18

  12. Let's say you have seven apples. That's a positive number. A positive number of apples means you have that number of apples. Now, say you have a sister. Say that you owe her twenty-five apples. That's a negative number, because you NEED twenty-five apples to pay off your debt.

    So that's the positive seven and negative twenty-five part. Now, let's look at the minus. Minus means "take away". So say that you "take away" a twenty-five apple debt. You have seven apples. You take away a twenty-five apple debt. That means you add seven apples to twenty-five apples (because you're gaining twenty-five apples), which gives you thirty two.

    7 minus negative 25 equals 7 plus 25.

  13. It would look like this no?

    7-(-25)

    Two negatives make a positive, so teh question becomes

    7+25

    which is simple math ;)

  14. 7-(-25)

    If you ever have two Minus (-) signs side by side, make them both positive.

    7+(+25) then just add normally.

  15. 7 - (-27) = 34

    y minus and minus = +

    sooo if this was -7-27 = -34

    minus and plus = minus so ex1. -7+27 = 20

    if minus and plus r together it depend which number bigger to add a negative at the end or not  so another ex2. 7-27 = -20

    c difference? first ex. -7+27 because 27 bigger and is positive it would come out positive in the end after minus, ex2. 27 is a negative so it would come out negative
