Question:

How do I frame a sketch?

I had my daughter pose for a sketch and it turned out amazing so I want to frame it so it lasts forever. I'm not sure how to do this properly though. I am afraid that if I just put it in a frame the pencil will rub off onto the glass. So do I need to mat it first or is it smarter to take it somewhere and have it done professionally? If so any ideas where I should take it? Also I would like to make copies of it for other family members before I frame it and if you have any ideas of who would do the best job of making it look like the original that would be great!

  1. Yes, the best and nicest approach is to put a window mat over it first and then pick a nice frame to use. If your nervous about damaging it, just bring it to a framing shop and they will do it 4 you. Get either laser copies of it or scan it into a computer first though, so that you have the extra copies you want.
