  1. My rule of thumb is when it comes to jello shots and other drinks/shots that have a lot of flavor, NEVER use expensive vodka/liquor. If you can't taste it, why waste it?

One I thought up was a tequila sunrise Jello shot. Use orange jello, 1 cup water, and 1 cup tequila (or a little less, plus water to make a cup). When you pour it into your shot glasses, leave a little room at the top. Carefully pour in a little grenadine and you'll get the sunrise effect even when it sets.

    Try classic drink flavor combinations:

    strawberry or pineapple + rum

lime + tequila (add strawberry schnapps or flavoring for strawberry margarita)

    lemon + vodka

And for reference, sugar free jello will hold a little more alcohol than regular jello. :)

  2. 1 c hot water to dissolve the jello , then 1 c liquor..

My favorite was always rum and berry blue jello or tequila and margarita flavored jello- but everyone else always thought that you could taste too much of the tequila.

  3. Any vodka, any jello.  Just follow the instructions on the box, and use vodka instead of water.

  5. This website is great for jello shooter combinations. The possibilities are endless..Have Fun!

  6. I wouldn't use good vodka for a shooter and it doesn't matter what kind of jello.  Just dissolve it in hot water, then use liquor for the rest.

  7. Jello shots are fun and inexpensive. The jello shot to try is the cream-sickle. Get one large box of orange jello and follow the directions. It will tell you to stir hot water into the the packet of gelatin until it dissolves. Then use vanilla vodka for the cold part. The jello instructions will tell you to pour in cold water BUT instead of the cold water, pour in the vanilla vodka. I am sure you will like this one. And if you want to go even more crazy, throw in some fresh fruit and that should get the party started.

If you don't like the cream sickle idea, you could also do a fun sparkling jello shot. Get a light color jello, find the vodka flavor that corresponds or complements that flavor and follow the jello recipe as follows: Mix the jello powder in with the hot water. For the cold part use half vodka and half club soda.

    Enjoy:)
