How do I recycle CDs?

Question

I have a very large number of data cd's I need to get rid of. I'm not looking to reuse them in an art project or anything and they're of no use to anyone else. Is there some place that will recycle them for me?

I would be more than happy to take the CD's from you.  My daughter was just asking me where would she get old CD's for an art project. Please rest assured that when she no longer needs them we will recycle them safely.

Even though you may not want to reuse them in an art project, some scrapbookers would probably like to have them. One of the latest "crazes", if you will, is to scrapbook on cd's. By that, I mean they cover the cd with paper, pictures, embellishments, ribbon, etc. Some people are creative and even make books out of them. You could contact a scrapbook store and offer them your cd's. Maybe they will teach a CD scrapbook class.
