Question:

How do I train my parrot?

I have an African gray parrot named Baby Gray. She is the smartest breed of parrot in the world, and I want to teach her a trick.

How do I train her to say "That's Bad!" every time one of three things happen:

1. She sees a dog

2. She hears barking

3. she hears someone else saying "That's bad!"

This is a joke I am playing on my new step-father. I want him to think that he says it so much that our parrot has started to say it. I can already do a perfect impression of him saying it with his accent. How would I teach my parrot this trick? Thanks.

  1. Say "that's bad" when ever you want her to, that's how I taught my bird to say step up.

  2. parrots learn from repition and rewards. you have to say it over and over and when she says it you give her a treat.

then that assosiation has to be staged and repeated as well.
