How do I write a script?

I have a movie idea for a Disney Channel Original Movie and would like to give the idea to Disney but i have read that they dont want to be bothered unless you have a script written. I guess it shows that you are serious and not just some fan that has some wacky idea. So, how do i write a script? I have written novels but never a script.

get a book on screen writing.  you have little chance that they will be interested unless your novels are successful and they have heard of you.

There are sooooo many books out there on screenwriting, including writing for sitcoms and skit shows like SNL. Go check out your library.

You could also sign up for a screenwriting course. They're probably offered at your local community college.

Use a free program such as Celtx to format the script, this makes writing it easier, then send it to them.
