You can delete any program by selecting it's folder with the start menu (assuming you have windows) and selecting "uninstall."  If you can't decide on a messenger program then I would recommend using "Trillian." It combines three different messengers into one program.  As for the firewall, if it is blocking your messenger program then change it to allow the program to access the internet.

MSN is the best.

But you should really just go with what everyone else you know has, so that you can talk to as many people as possible.

Yahoo is best, if you have the newest version you get talking images and its easier to send files between layouts and you can play games such as Yahoo Pool with the person you are have a conversation with, You can also add contact list from a few other messenger providers.

Alot of my friends have msn messenger because you can have just about every messengers into one.

You should just get Trillian it's a client that suppports pretty much any protocol.

Go to your control Pannel then press: Uninstall a program. Find the messenger and double click the icon.

I highly recormmend Yahoo! Messenger but the most widely used messenger is MSN. AIM costs to use.

AIM is good, I don't like MSN or YAHOO! messengers.

I don't know about firewalls, but you should use Firefox instead of IE.

I use AIM- Aol instant messanger. But that's mainly for Americans (i.e aol= america online) it doesnt have any firewall but SOMETIMES u get a little spam (a message from someone u dont know saying something like "hey i know someone that has a crush on you) MSN is really good because there are a lot of cool features on it and it's like a global IM user. You can always stay true to good old yahoo and get yahoo messenger. A good way to choose is to ask your friends what they have and then get what most of them have

5. Double-click Messenger.
