  1. since Vonage is voip, could be a temporary internet service interruption. Can you get online? get vonage support online, is a possibility.

  2. It is "possible" your Vonage Internet access problems "could" possibly be linked to 5 cases of "cut cables" that link the Internet around the world over the past couple weeks.  There was widespread traffic rerouting congestion for a week or so following the under water cable cuttings.

    Otherwise:

Try resetting all your equipment by turning off power for 10 seconds (or unplug power cords).  This should reset your router and phone adapter.

If that doesn't fix problem, then yes, perhaps there is a disruption with Vonage service causing problems...

In the interim, as you seem to have access to a PC , then try using another PC-based VoIP services to call home, such as:

    Skype or Gizmo Project.

Mediaring Talk is offering free 10 minute calls to 8 countries including USA/Canada. Call back as many times as you want, but calls disconnect after 10 minutes...

No purchase necessary to make the free calls during promotional period, until March 31st.

Also, new service, currently in beta dev phase,  called EarthCaller is offering all calls free to USA/Canada using just your web browser.

I've used it a couple times now and it seems to work pretty good.  It will want to download a small active-x plug-in to work with IE7 browser.  No purchases required.

Of course, you will need a headset, or mic & speakers to make calls from your PC.
