  1. First - do you have a HDTV?

BlueRay puts out wonderful HD video through component cables. (My player refuses to work with my HDMI switch so I have to use component cables in my system).

Run some HD rated component cables from the red/green/blue jacks on the player to component inputs on the TV (Usually called "Component 1" or "Component 2")

Use the TV remote to select "Component 1" and turn on the bluRay player.

You should see video, but you might not.

The BluRay player has to be told to output one of 480 (standard def), 720 or 1080 out the component jacks.

Your TV may have 1 set of component jacks for 480, and the others only accept 720 or 1080.

If the video is messed up, try hooking up a SVideo cable and using this to access the BluRay setup menu on the player. Make sure it is set to 720 or 1080, then flip the TV back to the component input.

  2. u need the HDMI to get the picture.  otherwise you install the Blu-ray the same as any other DVD player.

  3. I don think the blu-ray is able to play with standard definition cables so you must use the HDMI cables.

  4. You probably can, but without HDMI cables it's kind of pointless to have a Blu-ray player.

  5. If you plugged an HDMI wire (of the correct torrent) you must get both sound and image, if you donot, use component for video and you will keep on getting the sound as you do now by the HDMI or go and get the correct HDMI wire... (ask for the number to be used)

  6. yes I use a S-video cable you can use regular RCA Video Audio also but you will not get the High Definition picture it reverts back to standard resolution

  7. Dno Soz. Hope It Gets Sorted Though x
