How do i tell me job?

i've been at my job for about 6 months and i just found out that im pregnant...when and how should i tell my job...i still want to work through my pregnancy...what should i do and what will be the outcome?

You should just tell them. They can't fire you because you are pregnant. It's against the law because of discrimination.

I'd wait until you start to show, then tell them. If your a good employee it won't matter.

You need to tell them, they are going to find out and you should be the one that they find out from. You are going to have to go to the doctor a lot so they will know that something is up. They can't fire you, but I think that you have to be employed for a year before FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) will protect your job.

Being pregnant is now considered a "temporary disability" and you are protected by both State and Federal laws which require the employer to abide by fair employment practices.  Let the employer know that you plan to continue to work.  Most employer's are really good about accommodating pregnancies.  Congratulations.

My own boss just went through a pregnancy.

You wait until you are about 4 months pregnant, and then you announce the news.  Your job will understand NATURALLY because this is VERY COMMON in every work place.

You will then need to request maternity leave when you are 9 months pregnant for at least 6 months.  Do not fear, this is normal.

Just tell your boss that you are pregnant and that you would like to work through your pregnancy. Depending on your job, they may or amy not think that its suitable for you to work.

Just tell them. they cant fire you because of it, you have to wrk for so long before you get maternity leave anyway.

i told them right away. i have a family history of haveing problems while ebing pregnat. for me it was best and safest for the baby if the company new right away. but with each person it verys. you need to make shure you are getting enough rest inn the first trimester you are really tierd. the mian thing is to make shure you dont over do it because you can create complications that way.
