How do i text someone?

hey im from mexico and i have a friend that lives at usa and i was wondering how can i text him? i mean i know theres a code so i can actually text him does anyone know it!?

Yes,

in the contact number part of your SMS screen put +1 then area code 310 for example and then followed by the actual number and type your message and then hit send.

if he has verizon wireless, you can send an email to:

[e-mail] ([e-mail])

or you can use aim and send a IM to:

4442223333 (his number)
