It's just that they only sell for £2 (or about that) in shops. But they need al the materials to make it, which surely must be worth more than £2.

First of all the amount of paper used, but that could be less than £2 because it's really cheap paper. But what I wonder about is the ink. They have loads of it in newspapers. Surely that must be worth over £2.

My guess is that they buy it in bulk, but tell me if

I'm wrong because ink is quite expensive.

  1. Largely the money needed will come from selling advertising space which can bring in tens of thousands. If the papers own their own printing plants that also reduces the expense involved. I work in ad sales for a paper!

  2. they sell ad space.

  3. Dear god what newspapers are you buying??? ive not seen any over £1 during the week.

  4. Where I come from a newspaper is between 30p and £1. It probably costs a few pence to make, they'll buy everything in bulk
