Google it.  It is all over the place.  Here in Kansas we have the flint hills - that would be a good place to start looking.  It is in limestone.  It is a black/gray hard rock.  Hit it on another piece of flint and it will spark.

Flint is found as an irregular nodule in chalk outcrops. These nodules are thought to be fossilised jelly fish. When broken the material has a greyish translucent look.
