1. I am a CCMA

You do not plan a miscarriage.. It is something that happens when the fetus is not viable usually due to illness or abnormality but it can happen with no reason..

It is also know as a spontaneous abortion...

Anyone can have a miscarriage for any reason including drinking, smoking and doing drugs during pregnancy.. Women who have had PID or uterine issues..STD's . Miscarriage is not directly directed to a woman's age It doesn't discriminate due to age or color of ones skin.. Women on YA have miscarried and been in their 20's

  2. Sweety just get on birth control. Then you won't have to plan any miscarriages in the future.

  3. I think a lot of people have misunderstood your question, while you are asking about the causes of a miscarriage they think you're asking if you can make yourself have one.

  4. you dont plan a miscarriage, it is an unfortunate thing that can happen. I have two kids and I had a miscarriage last year and I am only 24, I can tell you its not a nice thing to go through, I spent months blaming myself for it and I couldnt come to terms with it. The doctors couldnt give me a reason as to why it happened, its something I hope you never experience

  5. The most common symptom is vaginal bleeding, which can range from light spotting to heavier than a period. You may see blood clots, brown discharge or other tissue that is not clearly identifiable.

Often there is cramping, with pelvic or back-pain. You may find that the usual symptoms of pregnancy, such as breast tenderness, feeling sick and having to pass urine more frequently than usual, stop unexpectedly.

Sometimes there are no signs or symptoms of miscarriage and pregnancy symptoms continue, and the miscarriage is only discovered in a routine scan.

About half of all early miscarriages happen because of a problem in the way genetic material from the egg and sperm has combined during fertilisation. It can be difficult to find out why this has happened but it is more likely to be due to random chance than to any underlying problem with either parent.

Imbalances in pregnancy hormones, problems in the immune system, and some serious infections (not minor coughs or colds) are also thought to make miscarriages more likely. The risk of miscarriage increases with age, because the quality of eggs deteriorate. If a woman drinks too much alcohol or smokes heavily, the risk of a miscarriage is higher. It is also increased with multiple pregnancies, such as twins.

If a woman has previously taken the contraceptive pill, the risk of having a miscarriage appears to be slightly reduced.

While some studies suggest that stress may play a role in pregnancy loss, it hasn't been shown to cause miscarriages on its own. Research also indicates that doing moderate exercise or having s*x whilst pregnant does not increase the risk of miscarriage.

Often the cause of a miscarriage remains unknown. If a miscarriage has started there is very little that can be done to stop it.

  7. Lets face facts here, you are only asking this because you want to lie to some poor man about something you have no idea of! Bloody grow up and get a real life, if he ain't interested now he wont be after some pretend miscarriage!

  8. Anybody could have a miscarriage. At any age. However, it is more common in the late 30s, or in the very early teens such as 15 yrs old... They happen because the embryo wasn't developing properly, or because there was something wrong etc etc.... It could also happen because of a big fall, or if someone hits you behind your car can also cause a miscarriage...

Trying to relax, not carrying heavy things, not stressing too much, could all help to prevent a miscarriage.

  9. they say about 1 in 3 pregnacys end in miscarriage.

it depends how far along u r as to how it all happens

it can be very painfull cause u can have what seem like contractions and actually have to deliver a lil baby

its the most sickening thing in the world and even though you want to know about them u will never understand unless you go through it yourself.

  10. I just pray that there are not any numpties out there that will give her any ideas

  11. what a bizarre question. its like asking how do you have an accident or something. there are many reasons i suppose but im not a doctor so i really cant tell you.

  12. Women over the age of 35 are more at risk for having a miscarriage - miscarriage risk is directly related to a woman's age.

    This is why:

MOST miscarriages are caused by a chromosomal abnormality in the fetus (too many chromosomes, too little chromosomes etc) - division doesn't take place properly and the "instructions" on how to make the baby cannot be carried out. Because of this the body recognizes it and a miscarriage happens. As you age, more eggs become chromosomal abnormal - and there is more of a risk for miscarriage.

Miscarriage is also higher among women of a lower socioeconomic status - there are many theories for this but the best is many of these women are not getting adequate prenatal care and nutrition.

The best thing you can do is try your best to be healthy, go to the doctor and stay away from alcohol, cigarettes - etc. Other than that mother nature is in the driver's seat for the most part.

  13. Hi,

No one plans a miscarriage babe it just happens and there nothing anyone can do to stop it!

Sadly, miscarriage is quite common with one in 4 pregnancies ending this way. A further 1% is ectopic, that is they start developing in the wrong place, usually in one of the fallopian tubes.

Even though 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage it is very hard to know the exact cause. Miscarriage does not mean the woman is to blame.

Miscarriage - the spontaneous loss of a baby - can occur at any time from around the date of a missed period to 24 weeks of pregnancy. After 24 weeks the loss of a baby is referred to as a stillbirth.

The causes of miscarriage are said to be:

Genetic - In half of all miscarriages, the baby does develop normally from the start and cannot survive.

Hormonal - Women with very irregular periods may find it harder to concieve and when they do, are more likely to miscarry.

Immunological - Minor infections like coughs and colds are not harmful, but a very high temperature or some illnesses or infections, such as German Measles, may cause miscarriage.

Anatomical - If the cervix (neck of womb) is weak, it may start to open as the uterus (womb) becomes heavier in later pregnancy and this may lead to miscarriage. An irregular-shaped uterus can mean that there is not enough room for the baby to grow. Large fibroids may cause miscarriage in later pregnancy.

Women can have a complete miscarriage where they experience heavy bleeding, pain and clots.

Some women have a delayed miscarriage also known as missed or silent miscarriage. This is when the pregnancy comes to an end with little or no sign that anything is wrong. The baby has died or failed to develop but your body has not miscarriaged him or her. I had a missed miscarriage at 18 weeks with my first pregnancy.

Some ladies have blighted ovum - meaning a pregnancy without an embryo. This name is given to a fertilised egg that does not divide or develop as it should. The normal pregnancy sac develops but the baby fails to develop within the sac.

Imcomplete miscarriage - sometimes when a miscarriage occurs, not all the pregnancy tissue in the uterus is expelled. Although the pregnancy is over, the symptoms of heavy bleeding and pain continues.

If a lady has a missed miscarriage where she has not miscarriaged baby she will be given 3 options. She can wait for her body to miscarry the baby naturally, take a tablet at the hospital to bring on the miscarriage and take one at home, or have an operation called a D&C to ensure all pregnancy has been removed.

When a woman goes through a miscarriage she and her partner and family will be affected.

    A woman will feel:

    Shocked

    A feling of emptiness

    Sadness and crying

Loss of interest in everyday life

    Constant tiredness

Sleeping too much or too little

Lack or loss interest in s*x

    Anger

    Sense of bereavement

    Depression

    Lost of concentration

    Feelings of guilt or failure

    Isolation and loneliness

Pain or jealousy at the sight of pregnant women, babies or anything to do with motherhood.

Investigations into why women have miscarriages do not tend to happen until the woman has had three or more miscarriages. This is upsetting and frustrating for women who have had one or two miscarriages as they may feel their loss is not taken seriously. The reason for this policy though is because most women who have had one or two miscarriages will go to have a successful pregnancy next time.
