  1. if you find an answer to that question, could you tell me? its taking me a year to do what i thought was going to take 1/2 a year. making a schedual and setting alarms doesnt help because theres no purpose. the end result is just too far away.

  2. I quit regular high school and switched to online. I did this so I could move away with my boyfriend. I stay motivated because I live in his house. I know that if I didn't finish school I would never get a very good job or learn to be independent and be able to take care of myself. That and I don't want to everyone to think that I'm a bum and just living here so I can sit around and be lazy all day.

  3. I always gave myself a schedule to follow when I was homeschooled.  Wake up at the same time everyday (you'll sleep better), give yourself a set amount of time for school, take lessons or volunteer in the afternooon, finish any leftover work, help around the house, and then spend your evening anyway you want!  The thought of evening down time motivated me through the day, and the fact that I could get a grade ahead and graduate early motivated me all the time.  A schedule will also help if you plan on going to college because you will have a set schedule in any college.

  4. I know i have to get it doen. (im in online homeschooling) But there are times that I just want to break down(for many reasons) & not do homework. But I push myself because I need to get it done.

  5. my motivation is that the sooner i finish it, the sooner i can go on to college and then get that done sooner and get a real job out in the real world!

    :)

but for everyday stuff i set a ton of alarms so that i will wake up at a normal time...instead of like 1..and just do it all right then...that way i can sleep in for the next week until i get my next set of assignments!

  6. The fact that if I don't keep going then I've failed my kids. I want my kids to have a better life than I had (as all parents do) and I want them to have more chances at success than I did. I feel as if I homeschool them and allow them to explore their interests then they won't feel the need to pick something when they "grow up" and not know whether or not they really are interested in that field. Did that make sense??? :P

My cousin went to college for 4 years only to get her degree and realize she hates what she went to college for.

  7. you didnt say if you were the parent or the student. I am a homeschool parent and what keeps me motivated is 1 I know exactly where the information my child is learning is coming from. 2. I know when one is having a problem with a concept or subject immediately not 6 weeks later 3. Their health is much improved since they are not exposed to as many germs or illnesses. 4. My kids are happier 5. I think it is so cool all the things that I am learning from my kids and their school work that I never learned when I was in school which just reinforces to my kids that people continue to learn forever. 6. I think that by being there for my kids I will make them better parents later in life.
