my names michelle makayla in hawian means michelle

for a boy

joshua benjamin

joshua is my brothers name that past away and benjamin is my hubbys name.

any other ideas?

I think that Makayla Lynn is really cute! And I think that you sould defiantley use it.

I think that it is really sweet that the boy would be named after your brother, and I am sorry for your loss. And Benjamin is really cute, and I think that you should use that, even if it wasn't your husbands name, it sound good.

Makayla and all the other "Mc" "Mac" and "Mak" names are way too trendy.  

Makayla is not Hawaiian for Michelle.  It is a misspelled form of the name Michaela, which (like Michelle) is a feminine form of the name Michael.  That spelling started catching on after the name Kayla became so trendy.

How about using Michelle as a middle name and going with something else entirely for a first name?

The boys name is nice, particularly because there is meaning behind the name you chose.

Joshua Benjamin is a nice name for a little boy. Makayla Lynn however isn't so great in my opinion.

Makayla is actually just a respelling of Michaela (both Michaela and Michelle are feminine forms of Michael)

Anyway, not to just correct you, I think Makayla (or even Michaela?) Lynn is a very nice name.  You could call her Kayla for short too if you'd like (it's better with the long form, Makayla, since it gives her the options! )

I really like the name Joshua Benjamin.  I think their both cute classic names, though I personally would go with Benjamin Joshua, just because it flows better (you could still call him Joshua).

I like Vanessa Rose for a girl.  Rose is a pretty middle name even with Makayla.  Joshua Benjamin is pretty good

I like the name makayla, but not really with the middle name lynn. Makayla is such a sweet, pretty name and I don't think it is balanced well with Lynn.

I LOVE the name Joshua Benjamin. Josh has always been one of my favorite names, but I think those two together is a very strong name.
