  1. At the moment only companies make biofuel.  The do so by processing biomass in drums.  The more oily the biomass the better.

If you want, there are products that you can buy to make your own biodiesel.

  2. in the US, it costs more to make bio fuels that what the public is willing to pay, ie diesel is cheaper than biodiesel.

Google biodiesel and read all you want, its complicated.  There are people who talk about adding a magic formula that only they have.  others talk about getting free waste oil and spending $100.00 on the equipment and dangerous chemicals to convert the veggie oils to biodiesel.  I saw one set of trained engineers set up a web site on doing this.  To date they have the cost down to $6.00, Their first batch cost $600 for 20 gallons.

Finally, you end up with wastes, most of them classified as hazardous, so you'll have to deal with that unless you run you biodiesel site like a methlab, leaving your wastes behind so others can clean up after you.

  3. Check these references for profitable ways to make biofuel

  4. Well you can buy corn and sugar and distill your own fuel for gas engine around a $1.75.Or you can run wvo in a older diesel, new diesel you must make biodiesel(stupid computers).
