it is very easy and after you buy the equipment which is usually expensive you can make 3 cases of delicious beer for around $20. all you need is a can of pre-hopped malt extract ex. muntons has an excellent variety and great quality. about 6 cups of dry malt extract  and the packet of yeast comes with the can of extract. i strongly suggest going to youtube.com and type in home brewing the easy way and watch craig talk's videos 1 through 4. you can get absolutley everything you need from homebrewheaven.com
