that you grab stick with right hand, left if you are lefty!, and the other hand in the front of the stick, and you put it behind Que, and whammo!, you smack it. that's pool talk!!.

in order to shoot the cue ball you need to put your right hand on the back of the pool stick.  Then put the stick on your left knuckle in between your index and middle finger.  Line up your shot and do 5 practice fake hits.  Then you hit the ball.

I shoot the cue ball by putting my left thumb and pointer finger together on the table and slide the cue stick on top or I guess somewhat between them.  I aim with my right hand and arm.

It feels good to me.  I know others like to shoot differently.
