How do you tell the father?

Okay, so I'm taking the test in the morning.

"IF" the test comes out positive how do I tell the father?

He was my first, and only, so he is the father without a doubt.

He's not my boyfriend, he is a very close friend though, but he's in the airforce and he left a few days after we had s*x, sooooooo, he's back on base, and I live like 26 hours away from him.

Advice would be great!

Just say, I am pregnant, and either wait until he can come home, if it is soon or call him.  Email and texting is not personal enough!

Be honest, the sooner the better, decisions need to be made, he is the father he should be involved in the decision making process. That is one huge hurdle that is best done in a straight forward way, asap. You may struggle but it'll be a big relief in the end. Good luck!...and congrats.

Firstly before you call him, you need to decide what role you want the father to play in the childs life. You need to be prepared for him to reject being part of the childs life as well.

A telephone call would be preferable in circumstances such as these, however a letter telling him of your circumstances might be adequate if you can't call.

It might pay to find out when he will be home again form base and tell him then in person - it is always the best way.

Be mindful though - it's not a good idea to tell anyone else who the father is before you tell him in case he hears from someone else first.

just go to the clinic and get it taken care of. he wont have to know
