How does papaya disperse its seed?

and how do mango seeds dispersed? Are their seed dispersed by animal?

  1. Papayas have tiny black peppercorn sized seeds and several hundred in each Papaya.  It is an easy fruit to pick.  I would think an animal that ate a papaya would also eat some seeds and they would germinate after going through them.

    But mangos have a single large flat seed. An animal that ate one might carry it away from the tree, but they wouldn't eat the seed. So it would fall to ground and then germinate.

    Mangoes drop all of their fruit in just a few hours. It is really something to see.  The trees are very big, sometime 60 feet high and 60 feet across. A papaya tree is a scraggly looking thing about 15 feet high and has the fruit sticking straight out of the trunk of the tree...
