Im thinking about getting a 2009 scion tc But i have a questoin. Ive heard that if you want other options installed besides the standard options...then you have to wait a while until they order the car. Is this true?...so how does this work?...if i trade in my car i have now...to buy a tc...wont i be out of a car until the dealership receives my car?...or do i keep my trade in until my car arrives at the dealership?..

  1. They will let you take Scion until parts come in and then give you a loaner.

  2. there are 2 options you have. the first is too order the car with the options and have it built like that. example it will come from japan with whatever options you choose (rims, trd exhaust, body kit) the other option which i recommend is choosing a base model at the dealership and have them order the parts and install them. this way to can keep your original equipment. like if you order the car with rims you can still have your original for the winter. you can either come back to install these options or do it all at once before you take that car. lets say you do it all at once and need to wait a week for the installation to be complete you will keep your trade throughout this time.

  3. Im not sure how exactly it works with the Scion options, I have heard about that though, but to answer your question no, even if you trade your car in... you keep it until you are driving home in your new one.

  4. It depends on what options you are talking about.  If you're talking about performance stuff, you can drive the car off the lot right away and come back and get it installed any time and still be covered under warranty.  And yes, you would keep your car until the new car is ready.

  5. The TC comes in automatic or stick, the only factory option is color, all other options are put on at the port of entry or installed at the dealer. If you want a particular color  with the options that you want, the Scion dealer can usually find the car in the sales zone and have it transferred in at no extra cost to you. It only takes a couple of days for delivery in most cases. You usually keep your car until your new one arrives.
