How far from Rome to Turin?

How far is it from Rome to Turin? How many miles? How long? Would it be best to ride train? How much would that cost?

6 to 7 hours by train. about 50 euro. if you want to check the schedule go to www.trenitalia.com. the english version is available. There is an highway if you want to go by car but highways in Italy are not for free.

During the Turin Olympics I went from Rome to Torino on the train and then the second time, I caught the plane (Alitalia). I love riding the trains in Italy, and if you have time, that is a beautiful trip, but if you have limited time, I would definitely catch a plane. It is about the same price and it saves you a lot of time.  Turin is great. You should go up to the mountains - so beautiful!
