How far is russia from germany?

my mom has been recently activated and is headed to germany for 14 months...I just was wondering in relation to the fighting in Russia..how close will that be to her.

Well I'm not sure exactly how many miles Russia is from Germany, but depending on what part of Germany she's in, she'd be about 3 countries away from Russia.  And most of the fighting there is being done in Georgia which is even further from Germany, at the southern tip of Russia.  So your mom has 3 smaller countries and 1 large country between her and the fighting.
