You can improve your english by getting someone who speaks english fluently and is trying to learn your language to speak to you.

if you want to learn formal english you need to go to college or take an english class. if you want to be able to speak well to people you can just watch a bunch of movies and talk to anyone who does speak english.

Well, online it is hard to improve your speaking English, but I have seen many people improve their written english by text based Roleplaying.

It is a place where people create a story by becoming a character and posting a few paragraphs. I love it, and have improved my writing. They are very friendly on these sites. All ages welcome. It is worth taking a look at it. They are Harry Potter theme, but there are many others out there.

Use a translator of the internet, and translate some of the words you use in everyday conversation, then slowly build up your vocabulary. Where you from???

Don't take this as an insult, but you should start by doing your best to type in correct English on the internet.  This includes correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.  Other than that, read some great literary works and newspapers.  You'll get the added bonus of learning things along the way.

there are so many references!! I always use references.. and here's what i do!!:

1. I keep on reading books... (it's an advantage.. because.. i get to learn new words..)

2. whenever i don't know the spelling or meaning.. of course!! Mr dictionary will help me.. there are some dictionaries that have pronunciation u know..

3. Gud knowledge eh? well.. encyclopedias, books, language books, reading books....

4. u can always refer to Ur friends family nd relatives.. u probably know someone very well who is a teacher..

read a lot of books, listen to audio books and listen carefully to the dialogue on tv. Watch programs which use proper anunciation of word ie, try and avoid slag and stuff, like on mtv or bet. watch stuff like pbs, fox, food channel, you know. you'll pick it up pretty quick, thats how my mom learned english and she speaks wonderfully.

Get those programs on cd that teach you how to speak correctly.    Obviously the program would be in the language that you speak.      Either that, or get an english tutor that speaks the same language as you do.
