I can do a front layout easily so my coach recommended that I try a front aerial walkover. How hard are aerial walkovers? Do you run into them or step? Any tips on them?

  1. Hard enough.

You need strong flexibility in your hamstrings and legs to make these types of somesaults feel like "the splits" for you.

Best to watch the greats on balance beam. Nadia especially.

I don't know if Nadia Comanici did aerial walkovers....but.....aerial walkovers are often required in a balance beam routine.

The Olympics are coming up in Beijing, so watch gymnastics........floor exercise and balance beam especially. You will see a lot of aerial walkovers and you will try to figure out how it is done.
