  1. See if you can find a book- "Abnormal Muscles and Nerves as Impulse Generators" by Ochoa.  Most of it is explained in mathmatical terms ( calculus to be specific) . Many articles on Cerebellar function involve calculus.  You do need to understand math, if for no other reason that to understand Statistics so you can tell if a study is any good or not.  Can't get out of it-- study!

  2. Well a number of ways:

    1) The study of deformation and flow. So thats like plasticity and viscosity. Need to understand rates of change.

    2) Half life and exponential growth of microbes. Involves Logs etc.

    3) The rate reactions of drugs where they are first order second order etc involved differentiating and integrating.

    4) Decay and degradation rates of drugs.

    + more

Don't stress though, Calc is not as hard as people make it sound especially the calc involved in pharmacy it's not like doing a maths degree. Also there's usually a 1st year unit as an "intro" to calculus.

P.S you learn it once then you are just given all the equations you are not expected to sit down and derive equations.

  3. It's not used.  It is just a weed out course.
