she isn't, those who don't think that she was a horrible person, at least acknowledge that she and her husband were weak rulers and that Marie Antoinette had no knowledge the lives of her people. Let's just say that to tell a bunch of starving mothers to "eat cake" because they couldn't afford bread, is not the best move.

Marie Antoinette stood by her husband's side as the political tensions grew and the mob (which she could have escaped if she had left) came to take them. So perhaps, this is in a way a display of heroism by her.
