How is Myrtle Beach in October?

Me and my friends wanted to go to the sand resorts in Myrtle Beach. We know its off season but wanted to know if it is still enjoyable in the fall around Oct 3-5th.

Myrtle Beach in October is great! I prefer to go in the "off" season. The weather is usually very pleasant and it is much less crowded than in the summer months. Hotel rates are cheaper, too. We often spend Thanksgiving at the beach and have never been disappointed.
