  1. It smells funny.

  2. its great, beautiful and people are so nice, and has good schools, and the area ia amazing

  3. I spent a week there once upon a time, in 1992.   The bed and breakfast (which had been featured in Southern Living Magazine) was filthy.  I checked out and stayed in a nice, clean Howard Johnson's.   We ate at Chart House and I mentioned to our very nice waiter that I had not seen a single cat  along the water front in Savanah, which is very odd to me, as I am from a waterfront town and we actually have a cat population problem.  My waiter told me that the rats had eaten all of the cats and I did believe him.  There were a lot of interesting places to shop, especially if you like antiques.  There are many beautiful homes and gardens.  You would probably enjoy riding a bicycle around town (I did).   Anyway, I probably would not live there.  Being from a tourist town myself, I can tell you that it is hard to make a living, as most jobs are service jobs.   The most fun I had was when I took my meal vouchers from that bed and breakfast place and handed them out to the homeless people who live along the waterfront.  I even gave them a little money for the gratuity to ensure they got good service.

  4. I don't know about living there....but it is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit!  If you are a fan of history, it's great. If you are a fan of great food, you'll love it!  If you are a fan of the beach...couldn't be better.

Enjoy!  and check out The Lady and Sons Restaurant.
