How is tai chi kung fu?

is it relaxing and fun? is it usefull for self meditation and self defence?

  1. Yes. All of those things. I've seen T'ai Chi practitioners toss people about with their training with an almost aikido-like feel. They also tend to be extremely calm people.

    I've tried doing it a few times, and had a lot of fun trying, but I have a hard time slowing down for it. Still, it was an oddly pleasant experience, even if a bit frustrating (I felt like I was either rushing or catching up poorly to the rest of the group).


  2. Yes most definitely!

    I would recommended it but the self defence side may take quite a bit longer unless you are schooled in similar ie: jiu-jitsu,Aikido.

  3. its more fun when you realize what benifit you get from training slow, most people are frustrated by it and end up quitting because they dont see a use for it. you must master being still before you can master moving
