How long do medical cards take?

(In Ireland) I applied for a medical card last Monday and am almost 90% sure Im eligible, how long do they take to process them and send them out to you as it has been 9 days already?

It took mine took 4 or 5 months even though there was no question of me not being entitled to one.. I lost it a week after i got it and it took a year of me ringing them every month and them saying it was in the post for ir to come. In the end it came two weeks after i threatened to contact the ombudsman. Just wait a month and then ring them.

Well I live in the U.S and it really just depends, are you pregnant, married are have children. When I was pregnant I was covered the day I applied, I just got a temp card with my number. I would just call and tell them you want to know the status of your application. The health department always takes a while with any paper work they process.

Mine only took 2 weeks.  Call your health board and ask to speak to someone who deals with them.

It depends. If you know a politician it'll take a couple of hours. Otherwise you'll be waiting about a month.
