I'm not including the reception-

But I'm going to my cousin's wedding this October- and I've never been to one, so I'm a little curious.

  1. it depends. catholic ones tend to have full mass and can take up to an hour.

it usually depends on what the bride and groom want.  Most i've been to are about 30 minutes long.

  2. Depending upon the church you will be married in, they usually last a little over an hour.  Have a wonderful day

  3. the ceremony is usually around 45 minutes and then the reception is usually 4 hours.

  4. Roughly 1 to 2 hours. If you go to the reception it might be 5 all together.

  5. It depends what religion.  Protestant weddings are about 50 minutes.  Catholic ones with full mass can be 90 minutes.

  6. Infinitely shorter than a marriage.

  7. Depends on where they do it. Church weddings tend to be a bit longer (an hour) that outdoor weddings (typically 30 minutes).

Mine was about 40 minutes, but while I was there, it felt like all day. However, when I look back, feels like 5 minutes.

  8. RC weddings *without* a mass (i.e. a Liturgy of the Word) are a full hour. Expect a mass to be *at least* that long. Lutheran ones would be comperable length.

Many other Christian denominations allow the couple to largely plan the ceremony themselves (i.e. pick the number of readings), so the length is quite variable.

  9. Anywhere from 15 minutes to just over an hour.

  10. Depends on the Religion.  Just ask the bride or the groom . They already know how long and I am sure they will tel lyou.

  11. Depends on the wedding.

Non-denominational weddings officiated by someone like a judge are only about 10 minutes long.

A Catholic wedding is a mass, which lasts about an hour. Most protestant weddings last only about 10 minutes. Some others land somewhere in between. I got married in the Methodist church and we got to choose between the 10 minute ceremony or a 30 minute ceremony. I chose the 30 minute one because I did pay a lot of money for a gown!

I've never been to a non-Christian wedding before, so I couldn't answer as to how long those would be, but I'm guessing it varies just as the Christian weddings do.

  12. if everyone's on time and seated, no more than an hour.

  13. well i have only ever been to catholic ceromonies and it depends what you want.if you get a full mass it is about an hour if you dont get a full mass it is about 25 min.i think in average it is between a half hour and hour.have fun!
