How long do you commute???

Question

How long does it take you on an average to get to work each day and what is the most time would you commit to commuting to work before you would look for a new job??

I commute on an avrg 2 hrs to work and 2 hrs home...That is from PA to NYC everday!! Am I nuts???

I travel 12 minutes one way.

For some reason, i hope you could think of something better to do with 4 hours a day. But than again, if the money is worth it....

I  personally drive 3 miles, sometimes i walk.

Man, I feel for ya!  It takes me on the average, about 25 minutes from my house, downtown.  My company pays for parking so I just pull in and go to the office :)  I'm a lucky effer.

It depends. If you like your job, the money is good and holidays and benefits OK, then I'd say thats fine. I commute for about 45mins each way - but that depends on traffic. I like my job - so the drive isn't an issue. You have to weigh up the pro's & con's. If you are happy - why change?!

my commute is 32 miles. i drive from the suburbs to downtown.

i drive my own car - 95% of it is on the freeway

without traffic it takes me 35 minutes, with traffic anywhere between 45 - 55 minutes. i work at 10AM in the morning so half the times theres still traffic the other half no traffic.

i live in a great neighborhood with great schools, so i deal with the tradeoff.  if i didnt have to worry about schools or neighborhood for my child then i wouldnt hesitate for a second to move downtown closer to my job.
