  1. Two or three times is not big deal.  You will not be addicted

  2. You shouldnt get physical WDs, you haven't done it enough for that, but you may need some more self control to deal with any psychological cravings. If you get those, they should be gone in a week or two. A full blown heroin addict has physical WDs for 1-2 weeks and can have psychological WDs for months.

  3. trust me when i say this i had a friend get addicted to this stuff its bad news craves last awhile all you need to do is steer clear from it the more you use it the more your crave it

  4. With regular heroin use, tolerance develops. This means the abuser must use more heroin to achieve the same intensity of effect. As higher doses are used over time, physical dependence and addiction develop. With physical dependence, the body has adapted to the presence of the drug and withdrawal symptoms may occur if use is reduced or stopped.

Withdrawal, which in regular abusers may occur as early as a few hours after the last administration, produces drug craving, restlessness, muscle and bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea and vomiting, cold flashes with goose bumps ("cold turkey"), kicking movements ("kicking the habit"), and other symptoms. Major withdrawal symptoms peak between 48 and 72 hours after the last dose and subside after about a week. Heroin withdrawal is considered less dangerous than alcohol or barbiturate withdrawal.

  5. First let me say I'm a little fearful now. I just read and answered your question about being an alcoholic, and now I'm starting to wonder if perhaps I was wrong.

I'm praying that this is just for a friend and not for you.

To answer your question, the short answer would be for the rest of your life. You do /ANY/ addictive substance just once, and you will suffer. Its why so many people who haven't touched a drop of alcohol in 20 years still go to A.A. meeting. You will get physical and psychological regardless of how often you have used it.

Now obviously, if you only tried it 2-3 times and it was a small amount every time, they're not going to be as bad as near overdose every night. Heroin is sadly extremely addictive. And you will crave it the rest of your life. It won't every go away completely. I'm not trying to scare you here, I've seen it first had. I've know several people who were clean, completely clean, for up to ten years have a relapse.

Your best bet is to quit now, and seek out a support group.

And let me say this, most people don't clean up from heroine more than once. They either stay clean, or relapse and end up dead.
