How long should my snowboard be?

Question

Im am about 6'4 give or take an inch. im 15 weight like 140 and new to snowboarding i am wondering how long of a snowboard i should get? i was thinking about 164? is that about the right size or can i get like a 163 or what should the max and min. size for me be? PLEASE HELP!!!

Anywhere between your Chin and your nose. no higher then your nose

166 I would reccommend to be the largest.  You are rally light for a board likle that and it would be really difficult for you to exert the necessary amount of force needed to control this board except at extreemly high speeds.

Everyone has a range of sizes that are usable.  This is usually about 10 CM  So for you I would say for a park board get a buttery 156, for a backcountry, high velocity board a stiffer 166, any where in between will work for both, however if you tend to spend a most of your time doing one thing or another stick to that end of the spectrum.

well, they say it should be about at ur nose

but i like a smaller board like at the chin or neck

with a smaller board u have more control and can do more stunts

thier alot eaisier to handle

There is no maximum hight (just keep in mind the long the board, the faster it goes) but the mininmum should be  up to your collar bone, maybe chest depending on how tall you are.

your like me.. tall and light. im 6 foot 3 and weigh 160. i ride a 160. i definately recommend that dude esp since your alot like me. i promise you that you wont regret it. i ride fine on it.

for beginners between your chin and your nose, when you get into more serious riding its all about what your going to use your board for and how your board reacts so for that its best to get fitted in person and ask the experts.
