How many bibles are there? ?

is there more then one? does each religion have its own?

There is only one Bible. I assume you mean the Christian Bible. Other religions have other holy books with other names.

If your question is about whether or not different denominations of the Christian Church have different Bibles, the answer is no. The only difference, is that the Apostolic Churches (Catholic and Eastern and Oriental Orthodox) include five or so books in the so-called second canon. The Protestant Churches do not include this second canon but place the five books in an "apocrypha" appendix to the Bible.

These books are mostly historical records of events that occurred in the Old Testament. The new Testament is the same in all Christian denominations.

the bible is made up of a collection of books written in anceint times.

We translate the bible today from the ancient manuscripts of the the books in the Bible that we have.

(as people used to copy scripture out many times to distribute and preserve)

eg. for the new testament there are about 9000 ancient manuscripts anbd relating to each other with a textual accuracy of about 99.5% ( showing the manuscripts have no been changed or rewritten, heavily validating the accuracy of the new testament as a historical document )

By bibles I gather you are thinking of the typical old and new testament of the christian faith or just new testaments ? And also that you are looking for the different versions of each.

If so I do not know  and I know of no other such listing but the varieties and translations would number in the thousands if you also include all the different language translations, some of them have a good degree of correctness. Some are downright fanciful. so if you were to list all the varieties a new on would materialise before the end was in sight.

some , you have to wonder what type of medication the writers were on.

Now by religions, I am surmising that you are meaning christian denominations, if not then the number goes up further if you include the Holy scriptures from different religions,.

Some faiths have exclusive scriptures some will use many varieties.

some people prefer a particular version over others.
