As long as you can handle more and provide financially and emotionally for more, then you can have as many as you like.

Any number when the parents don't have time to spend undivided time with each one, with plenty of love to go around. Each of my daughters have decided that one is enough. One grandson needs a lot of various therapies, which are wearing her down. There are no guarantees that each child will be healthy, which can cut into the time spent with the other children.

What with the expense of raising children and sending them to college, it's harder to have more than two.

If saving for their college isn't possible, that's too many. If you don't have time for their dance recital or karate tournament, that's too many. Pretty easy formula there.

It depends on how old you are. If your in your 20's- 4 is too many. Your 30's- 5 or 6 is too many. But anything over 6 is too may.

pretty much whatever you can emotionally, physically, and finacially handle. I have 3 other sibs, and I'm the 3rd oldest. Our family doesn't have a problem because of my parents jobs.

it all depends on u.  how much u can hang. for me 2 is good after that d**n it gets hard cuz u have to different personalities its tuff mostly when their babies.

Thats a very personal decision. As long as you can afford to care for your children and can love them and take care of them all then I say have as many as that is!
